Under "Entitlement & Details", the "Yearly Entitlement" should capture the entitlement up to 31 Dec and not 1 Jan as of current setup in the leave system. Reason being we allow users to apply advance leave base on their annual entitlement and not on earned basis. By having such setup, there is no need for any manual intervention to reflect the correct "Yearly Entitlement".
Afterall, the "Opening Balance" has already been set to capture entitlement as at 1 Jan and it would make the "Yearly Entitlement" that the current setup also captures entitlement as of 1 Jan to be redundant.
